Being diagnosed with ADHD and Dyslexia in 3rd grade, I found that I was unable to stay focused on one subject, and I constantly found myself with incomplete opinions and incorrect understanding of subjects. I overcame my incomplete opinions and incorrect understanding of subjects through following a schedule, keeping a constant to-do list, and constantly carrying around a notebook. My notebooks are something I constantly reference because I wrote everything from class lecture, interesting companys, product exploration, or market expansions. These notebooks chronicle all new subjects I come across. At the end of the day, I would look at the notes/ facts that I took and I would research any that I had any remaining interest to confirm and expand my understanding. Then to make sure I understood everything, I would write out: what I found, why I thought it was interesting, what each is related to and where I found the information. Little did I know I created a system that made my disabilities almost disappear, and I began to reference and retain tremendous amounts of information.
Dabblewith.com is mostly to help me consolidate my understanding and opinions on the subject I have been interested and exposed to in recent years.
